Facebook

My Facebook is really boring. All I see are photos of dishes, latte, political news clips, motivational clips, more political news, food food food. It's like a newspaper with advertisement. And I only have 30 friends in my list - these are close friends and yet all I see are things I can get from CNN, malaysiakini, etc. I begin to think that FB has become pointless as more and more people are concerned of privacy and became paranoid. They share less personal stuff. I'm guilty of this too. If all I see are gloom and doom news, I don't really see the point of FB anymore. The hype has died in less than, what? 4 years? Maybe 5? The other thing I like is the ability to read in the dark, adjustable font sizes for old man like me and ability to highlight paragraphs, dictionary on the fly and sharing of great phrases via Facebook or Twitter. Isn't these great? Certain Kindle books I owned like The Hobbit 75th Anniversary and the 22/11/63 by Stephen King has multimedia content. In The Hobbit, the recording of Tolkien reading poems can be played. And all those special hand drawn maps are shown in beautiful pixels. It cost only us$6! Where else can you get this except from amazon? Over the past two years, my library has grown
